1. Time for Kids - Digital news magazine for kids where they can read about current events and work on the critical-thinking skills that shape active global citizens. Kids site is free. Subscribe as an educator to get access to lesson plans and more.

2. National Geographic Kids - Stunning photos and in-depth stories of Earth's peoples and wildlife. Students can use the site to learn about animals, watch the various science and geography series, or explore the USA and countries around the world. The Homework Help section can provide help with research papers and projects. Teachers can search for resources that match topics they are working on in the classroom.

3. ABCya! Elementary Computer Activities & Games - ABCya! is a fun way for elementary students to learn using games and activities created by teachers. Interactive activities are modeled off classroom lessons and are sorted by grade level (Pre-K-6+) and subject. The lessons incorporate content areas such as math and reading while introducing basic computer skills.

4. Kidport - Every Grade-Level home page features a subject menu. From this menu students can select individual subject work (i.e., math, science, social studies, language arts and creative arts). Students can also go directly to the Reference Library materials for that grade.

6. Interactive Graphic Organizers - Graphic organizers are a great tool for students to use with brainstorming, organizing, and visualizing ideas. This website has more than 35 graphic organizers sorted by categories that include main idea, drawing conclusions, order, sequence, comparison and more. Students click on a graphic organizer to download a PDF of it. Once it is downloaded, they can type in the various fields provided. When finished they can save the changes, upload it to your learning management system and/or print it out.
